A new fantasy romance is set to capture hearts in 2026 as SBS prepares to premiere No Tail To Tell on January 16th.
The drama introduces a mysterious love story between a gumiho and a human, promising a fresh twist on the beloved Korean mythical creature narrative.
The production team released the main poster on January 7th, instantly drawing attention with the enchanting chemistry between Eun-ho (Kim Hye Yoon), a gumiho struggling with her desire to remain herself, and Kang Si-yeol (Lomon), a human whose pride and charm make him irresistible. The image evokes the elegance of an oriental painting—Eun-ho’s multiple tails flutter mysteriously, purple beads bloom on her hand, and the tagline above them—“These looks! This charm! It’s natural for you to fall for me. You know I’m a gumiho, right?”—hints at the playful yet passionate dynamics to come.
No Tail To Tell tells the story of an MZ gumiho who avoids both good deeds and evil acts in her quest to remain non-human, and a narcissistic, world-class soccer player who faces the unexpected chaos she brings into his life. Their relationship, which begins with playful dislike and gradually deepens into fated romance, promises moments of laughter, tension, and emotional resonance.

Kim Hye Yoon shared her excitement about playing Eun-ho: “The character of an MZ gumiho felt so fresh and appealing. I thought I could show many new sides of myself. Working with Romon was effortless because we already had a natural connection through mutual acquaintances—he’s incredibly kind, upright, and passionate.”
Lomon, taking on his first full romantic-comedy role as Kang Si-yeol, explained, “It’s a story of two strong, seemingly perfect individuals who clash until they gradually discover each other, heal their loneliness, and find connection. The drama is lighthearted yet emotionally meaningful, and I was curious to see how our relationship would develop on screen.” He added that his chemistry with Kim Hye-yoon came naturally, thanks to her talent and rhythm on set.
Even before its premiere, No Tail To Tell has been generating buzz, ranking in the top 10 TV dramas for two consecutive weeks according to Good Data Corporation FUNdex, signaling high expectations for the first SBS drama of the year.
Fans can look forward to Friday-Saturday nights at 9:50 PM, starting January 16th, for a romance that
