Lee Na Young, Jung Eun Chae, and Lee Chung Ah Lead ENA’s New Thriller “Honor” – Three Lawyers, Three Transformations, One Explosive Scandal

ENA’s upcoming Monday–Tuesday drama Honor, premiering February 2 is shaping up to be one of the year’s most compelling mystery thrillers.

Based on the acclaimed Swedish series, the drama follows three female lawyers whose buried pasts resurface as a massive scandal — forcing them to confront painful truths, test unbreakable bonds, and fight for justice with everything they have.

Lee Na Young Returns After 3 Years as Celebrity Lawyer Yoon Ra-young

Marking her long-awaited comeback, Lee Na Young transforms into Yoon Ra-young, a high-profile lawyer with hundreds of thousands of followers and the public face of L&J (Listen & Join), a law firm she founded with law school classmates to defend female crime victims.

Lee Na-young said she was immediately drawn to the script, reading it “in one sitting, like a novel,” captivated by its tense narrative and emotional depth. Yoon Ra-young, a figure “clad in armor,” hides wounds from a secret past — a past that now returns to challenge everything she stands for. “She believes you need strength to represent victims,” Lee noted, describing the heavy, complex emotions she had to portray.

Filming required layered performance work. “No scene was easy,” she said. “I often cried even before shooting.” She called Honor a project that “broadened my horizons as an actor.”

Jung Eun Chae Reveals a Fierce New Side as L&J’s CEO Kang Shin-jae

Jung Eun Chae takes on the role of Kang Shin-jae, L&J’s formidable CEO and the drama’s embodiment of leadership. Describing Shin-jae as a “lion-like leader,” Jung emphasized the character’s balance of compassion and steely resolve. “A good leader has a warm heart and a cool head,” she said. Shin-jae supports her colleagues Yoon Ra-young and Hwang Hyun-jin with unwavering loyalty while standing fearless before the powerful.

Born into a third-generation legal dynasty, Shin-jae breaks away from family expectations to create a firm for those neglected by the system. Jung Eun Chae says she wanted to tell her character, “You started something — see it through.” She cited “people and trust” as her reasons for joining the project, adding that working with the cast and team deeply moved her.

Lee Chung Ah Breaks Her Cold Image With Action-Driven, Heartfelt Lawyer Hwang Hyun-jin

Rounding out the trio, Lee Chung-ah undergoes a dramatic transformation as Hwang Hyun-jin, L&J’s action-first, heart-on-her-sleeve lawyer. Describing Hyun-jin as a “highly combative retriever,” Lee calls her character lovable yet fiery, friendly yet fiercely protective — a lawyer who refuses to hide, avoid danger, or play by convention.

A black belt skilled in multiple martial arts, Hyun-jin is L&J’s on-the-ground force. Lee even chose Hyun-jin’s braided hairstyle for realism: “It kept getting frizzy and annoying, so she’d tie it up and move on.”

Lee was drawn to Hyun-jin’s rare boldness. “She may seem ordinary, but she’s not,” Lee said. “I wish there were more people like her.” She also highlighted the chemistry among the three leads, calling the collaboration “something I’ll miss deeply.” For her, Honor will remain “an honorable project.”

Featuring three powerful actresses delivering completely different yet tightly intertwined performances, Honor: Their Court promises a gripping blend of suspense, emotional complexity, and character-driven storytelling.

ENA’s Honor premieres February 2 at 10 p.m. and will stream on KT Genie TV.
