Legendary Idol Unrecognizable During Recent Performance, Fan Cam Goes Viral

One of K-Pop’s greatest comeback stories involves the girl group EXID.

EXID originally debuted in 2012 as a six-membered group, but most are likely familiar with the current five-membered line-up. After years of promoting, the group were supposedly near disbandment after the release of “Up & Down,” but a viral fancam of Hani performing quickly brought attention to the group.

The group were able to return to music shows to promote the track, and led to a resurgence in their careers. The group were able to continue promoting until 2019, when they entered a hiatus after several members left their current company.

EXID reunited in 2022 to celebrate their 10th anniversary, proving that they did not disband.

Recently, the group have been active again, and performed at the Far East Music City Festival in Indonesia.

A video of EXID performing “Up&Down” with a focus on Hani was posted on TikTok, where it went viral with over 3 million views.

Many commented surprise at seeing Hani, mentioning that she looked different. Hani currently has her hair cut short, with no bangs, and has lighter brows, which seems to have been enough to change her appearance and confuse netizens.
