Singer Lim Kim is officially returning with her second full-length album, Exit to Nowhere, marking her first studio album in 13 years since her debut album "Goodbye 20" was released in 2013.

Ahead of the album release, she unveiled a teaser that introduces the new project's story, visuals, and emotional direction.

Lim Kim released the teaser video for Exit to Nowhere through her official social media channels on July 16. The video features the album's opening track "EXIT" and pre-released song "Say Hello (feat. Bree Runway)," giving fans their first look at the world she created for the new album, SportsKhan reported.

The teaser continues the story from her previous work "GENERASIAN." According to her team, the album follows the idea of moving from one exit toward another, showing that the project is not about ending a chapter but beginning something new.

Exit to Nowhere is a personal record that follows Lim Kim's journey from her early 20s, when she first entered the entertainment industry, to her current life in her 30s. She described the album as a timeline of her experiences, memories, and growth.

At a listening session held on July 21 at Raika Cinema in Seoul, Lim Kim shared that watching the songs and related videos on a large screen created a special experience. She explained that the album reflects different moments of her life and the emotions she collected over the years.

Lim Kim Returns With 2nd Album

The album includes seven tracks, including the pre-released song "Insahaseyo." Its title track, "Never Gonna Be Alone," is an alternative pop song, while other tracks include "21," "Limbo," and "Through The Glow," featuring veteran musician Yoon Sang.

Built around synth-pop and retro sounds, the album focuses on Lim Kim's unique voice rather than complicated arrangements.

According to AllKPop, she also took part in writing lyrics for five tracks, including "Insahaseyo" and "Limbo," using her own experiences as inspiration.

Lim Kim revealed that creating the album took more than a year, following a long period of thinking about its message and direction. She also shared her surprise and gratitude toward Yoon Sang, who agreed to appear on "Through The Glow" after she personally reached out to him.

Before becoming a solo artist, Lim Kim gained attention in 2011 as part of the duo Two Months on Mnet's "Superstar K3." She officially debuted as a solo singer in 2013 and changed her stage name from Kim Yerim to Lim Kim in 2019.

With Exit to Nowhere, Lim Kim hopes to show another side of herself while continuing her journey as an artist. The album will be released on July 22 at 6 PM KST on music platforms worldwide.
