A former manager from Big Planet Made Entertainment (BPM) was fired after using idols' private contacts as collateral to borrow money from 40 different illegal lenders.
On October 16, various K-media outlets reported that the private information of SHINee Taemin, Lee Seung Gi, VIVIZ's SinB, Eunha and Umji, Lee Mujin, Ha Sung Woon, and more artists were leaked to 40 loan sharks.
In an official statement released by BPM, they stated that the unnamed manager was caught borrowing "small amounts of money" from illegal companies.
However, after failing to pay back, the loan sharks started calling the numbers the said employee gave them as collateral.

Over 1,200 contacts were leaked, including artists and staff from BPM, as well as celebrities and acquaintances they have worked with in different entertainment labels.
The first phone call to these private contacts was made on September 30, resulting in BPM firing the manager immediately.
While they initially made the matter discreet, they decided to reveal it to the public after the second phone call on the 16th happened as the ex-manager once again failed to reimburse the money.
However, BPM attested to fans that they will see to it that they will do their best to address this to the best of their capabilities.
"The illegal lenders are threatening BPM staff through messages, and it is possible that they will continue to contact others from the former manager's log," the agency said. "We are planning to take stern measures against this by making police reports. We sincerely bow our heads for the damage that the former employee has inflicted on everyone."
The label went on, "Should anyone be contacted related to the former manager's action, we request them to immediately report it to the police."
