Former TARGET and XD (XEED) member Shun has been accused of sexual assault.

On November 6, a 17-year-old cosplayer known as Mone posted a message to her X account, stating that she was “heading to the sky” and asking her fans to visit her funeral. The post, seemingly intended to be a suicide note, thanked everyone for their support.

いつも応援してくれてるファンの皆様、仲良くしてくれてる相互さん。

いつもわたしががんばれなくてたくさん迷惑をおかけしてしまいすみません。…

— Mone (@__27mo) November 6, 2025

After this, a fan of the cosplayer looking for answers, discovered what they believed led to Mone writing the note.

In messages and photos posted on X, the poster revealed Mone’s direct contact with boy group XD, which began with discussions about a venue to use in Japan. The OP stated that it was at this time that Mone’s contact with 31-year-old Shun began outside of being a fan.

Mone: You need to submit all the documents within one week, or it will be canceled, so please be careful.”
Mone: The payment too!
Shun: We have to do it within a week~?
Shun: What exactly do we have to do within a week besides the payment?
Shun: I’ll tell them that the payment has to be done within a week~

This work done for the group led to Shun reportedly inviting her to meet up once she was in Korea, which occurred on June 18, 2025, the day the alleged assault happened. Photos of Shun from this day were also provided, showing him eating inside of a residence.

The following month, in messages with group leader, Doha, that began with discussion about the venue, Mone told him about Shun’s alleged sexual assault.

I spoke extensively with Shun oppa, and after gaining his trust, I decided on that venue for the performance.

After that, Shun oppa said he would buy me a meal as a way of thanking me for helping him, so I met him in Korea on June 18. However, after having lunch at the house of the older sister I was staying with, we traveled by car to Junggeun oppa’s house, and I—still a minor, born in 2007, a 17-year-old high school senior—was forced into sexual activity against my will. The next day, he called and said things such as, “Let’s not make things difficult,” “Don’t be obsessed,” and “Since we’re in personal contact, don’t stay in Greenie (fandom name).

At first, I kept this secret, thinking it was something I had to do for XD, and helped him. However, this incident triggered depression and PTSD, and I am currently receiving psychiatric treatment. My mental state has been severely affected, and I continue to struggle. My parents are aware of this situation and are extremely angry. It appears they are also consulting with the police.

The two discussed the assault, with Doha offering comfort to Mone, and eventually promising that Shun would be removed from the group, even sharing the removal notice he would post.

Shun was later removed from the group on July 30, though no reason was given at the time.

Following the allegations made against Shun, XD released a statement reiterating that Shun was removed from the group and that the other members did not have any involvement. The statement also claimed that Mone’s side was making demands and threatening to blame the entire group, and that she was still alive.

“Hello, this is XDREAM.

First, we sincerely apologize to our fans for causing concern regarding the content currently circulating online.

Regarding the recent online reports concerning former member Shun’s private life, the team immediately suspended all of Shun’s activities and implemented his withdrawal from the group on the same day the incident was recognized. We would like to clearly state once again that the currently active XD members have no involvement in this incident.

Additionally, today, the XDREAM team confirmed the safety of Ms. A, the individual involved in the incident, and sincerely wishes for her mental stability and recovery.

However, we confirmed that Ms. A attempted to contact the members early this morning (November 9). Given the extremely sensitive nature of the matter, direct communication with the members is strongly discouraged, and we ask that all communication be conducted through the team’s official email.

On the day the incident was reported, the team did its best to cooperate in order to ensure Ms. A’s stability and minimize mental harm. However, we were faced with unclear and constantly changing demands from Ms. A’s close associates, including requests such as drafting a contract that would hold the remaining members fully responsible if the incident became public. These demands went beyond reasonable measures to minimize harm.

Discussions continued late into the night without meaningful progress, and the team had no choice but to make the best possible decisions without further delay. The team also maintained confidentiality about the incident even with internal XDREAM staff until recently.

However, recently, details that Ms. A repeatedly requested to remain confidential have been disclosed by a third party—an associate of Ms. A who is not directly involved. The team is deeply concerned that personal interpretations and statements by this third party have led to indiscriminate criticism of the team, causing serious reputational damage and psychological harm to the members.

We deeply regret the current situation, where unauthorized recording releases and the distribution of member photos have led to speculation and false information, with members unrelated to the incident being mistakenly identified as perpetrators.

The team has completed evidence collection regarding this matter and is carefully responding in consultation with relevant authorities and experts in both Korea and Japan. We are considering legal action against secondary harm, such as spreading distorted information or defaming members with false content.

Acts that falsely label members as perpetrators based on personal opinions rather than facts will never be tolerated.

We sincerely thank the fans who continue to trust and support XD. The XDREAM team sincerely hopes that all truths regarding this incident will be fully clarified.

Thank you.
XDREAM”

Shun, who made his solo debut on October 14, 2025, also released a statement, saying that the meal did happen, but the other claims were untrue. He added that he was cooperating with authorities over the accusations made.

Hello, this is Shun.

Recently, some content that is not true has been circulating online through SNS and other platforms, and I would like to clarify the following.

Regarding the venue rental for the performance, it is true that there was contact and a meal, but other content that has been mentioned is not true.

Currently, I have been fully cooperating with the investigation at the request of the authorities regarding this matter, and I will continue to actively cooperate with any necessary procedures in the future.

I apologize for causing concern to the team, the members, and our fans due to the spread of unverified information.

I will do my best to ensure that the facts are clearly confirmed, and I respectfully ask that speculation or the dissemination of false information be refrained from.

Thank you.

— Shun

At this time, Mone has not been active on her account, nor released any further updates.

XD have been active as a four membered group since Shun’s departure earlier this year.
