Actress and former After School member NANA is finally making her long-awaited return as a singer—16 years after her debut.
On September 14 at 6 PM, NANA will release her very first solo album, Seventh Heaven 16. The project carries special meaning, arriving on both her birthday and her 16th debut anniversary, making it an especially memorable milestone for fans who have been waiting for her music comeback.
NANA originally debuted in 2009 with After School and later gained massive popularity through the quirky and stylish unit group Orange Caramel. Since 2016, she has focused on acting, earning praise for diverse roles in dramas and films like The Good Wife, The Swindlers, Kill It, Justice, Oh! Master, Glitch, Masked Girl, and the upcoming Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint.
Now, she’s returning to the stage with a fresh musical identity. Seventh Heaven 16 symbolizes the “greatest happiness” of reaching the highest level of heaven, while also reflecting her 16 years in the entertainment industry. The album promises to showcase her authentic voice and emotions, honed through years of growth as both an idol and an actress.
Ahead of the release, NANA unveiled a striking teaser poster on her official SNS. Dressed in a graceful ballet outfit with a flowing ponytail, she radiates elegance and intensity under the spotlight—hinting at the unique concept and mood she will bring as “solo artist NANA.”
With her first solo record dropping on her birthday, NANA has prepared what feels like both a gift to her fans and a celebration of her own journey. After more than a decade away from the mic, Seventh Heaven 16 is set to mark an unforgettable new chapter in her career.
