NCT’s JAEHYUN TURNS IT UP ’99 DEGREES’ WITH NEW SINGLE

NCT’s JAEHYUN has officially released his new single ‘99 Degrees’ across all major streaming platforms, alongside the official music video for the track. Listen HERE via SM Entertainment and watch the music video HERE.
 
‘99 Degrees’ is an emotional ballad that opens with delicate piano melodies before gradually building into a rich, sweeping arrangement. As the song reaches its climax, the instrumentation pulls back to spotlight JAEHYUN’s warm, expressive vocals, leaving a lasting sense of intimacy and sincerity. JAEHYUN participated in both the lyrics and composition, bringing his own artistic perspective to the track.
 
Built around the metaphor of love at 99 degrees – just shy of the boiling point of 100 – the lyrics explore the idea that love is made complete not through perfection, but through another person. The song reflects on finding wholeness, sincerity, and meaning in what may seem incomplete. 
 
The music video follows JAEHYUN as he revisits spaces filled with memories and reflects on the past. It poetically captures his journey of letting go of perfection, embracing imperfection, and finding the strength to move forward. 
 
Speaking about the release, JAEHYUN shared, “I’m happy to finally share ‘99 Degrees’, a song I worked on with a lot of love. I hope listeners can also feel the beauty of finding something complete within imperfection. May this song bring a little comfort to Czennies and everyone who listens, and I hope you all have a healthy and happy summer.” 
 
Since making his solo debut, JAEHYUN has steadily established his own musical identity through a wide range of releases. His first solo album, “J”, showcased his signature blend of warmth and sophistication, while‘Unconditional’ brought out a jazzy, playful charm. ‘Horizon’ embraced a more relaxed mood, and ‘Forever Only’captured a deeper sense of wistful emotion. Across each release, JAEHYUN has continued to expand his musical spectrum with his smooth yet resonant vocals, understated style, and nuanced emotional delivery. 

Ahead of the release of ‘99 Degrees’, JAEHYUN met fans during his JAEHYUN FAN-CON TOUR <Mono> in Taipei from 4 to 5 July. He is also set to reunite with NCT 127 for the group’s upcoming seventh full-length album, out 24 August, and their fifth world tour, NCT 127 5TH TOUR ‘NEO CITY – THE REDLINE’, launching in Seoul this September.
