Recently, KISS OF LIFE have been the subject of criticism online following Julie’s birthday livestream.

During the live stream, the group depicted racist stereotypes and were accused of cultural appropriation, resulting first in an apology from their agency and, most recently, a handwritten one from KISS OF LIFE themselves.
Both sparked mixed reactions from netizens, resulting in more criticism.
KISS OF LIFE’s Personal Apology Sparks Heated Mixed Reactions
Between the two apologies, KISS OF LIFE traveled to the Philippines for their KISS ROAD world tour.

It was expected that not many clips from the night would be shared due to the criticism, but one has attracted attention. In a clip from the ending of the show, Julie is shown with teary eyes, crying during the special message from local fans.
The idol also cried during her ending ment.

Kiss Road Manila
Julie's Full Ending Ment
Her pushing back tears to stop crying so she could finish talking
This hurts to watch because of the pain in her voice.
How can a person with so much love for her fans and her craft deserve so much hate after everything spun out of… pic.twitter.com/70ADqL1hs4

Though the circumstances for the viral crying clip were not made clear, many have reacted harshly nonetheless, accusing her of trying to get sympathy. Others were still critical of the group alegedly acting as though nothing had happened at the time.
Shes trying so hard to squeeze out them tears for sympathy points. Imagine an artists that so many black people supported just for her to treat our culture like a costume for her birthday party to not only joke with but to make fun of and belittle and display endless stereotypes https://t.co/YduOfKxQyV

While the group has apologized and expressed regret over their actions, it is up to each individual to decide if they will accept it or not.
