Park Na Rae's legal dispute with her former managers has entered a new stage after one of the former managers hired a new attorney, adding more tension to a case that has continued for months.
Attorney Jang Hyun Ho, managing partner of Kangsim Law Firm, announced on July 11 that his firm is now representing one of Park Na Rae's former managers.
According to AllKPop, he shared the update through a video titled "I Was Contacted by Park Na Rae's Former Manager" on his YouTube channel, Jang Attorney.
"I previously made a video analyzing the dispute between Park Na Rae and her managers," Jang said. "After watching it, one of the former managers contacted our law firm and asked us to represent them."
Jang explained that the case remains highly disputed because both sides have made different claims, while some evidence has yet to be fully confirmed.
"The case is being fiercely contested," he said. "I intend to do my utmost for the manager who has entrusted me with this case."
The attorney also clarified that his earlier comments about the dispute were not made because he expected to become the former manager's legal representative. He said he wanted to explain that his previous analysis was based on the information available at the time.
Park Na Rae Faces Prosecutor Review
The legal development comes shortly after the Seoul Gangnam Police Station referred Park Na Rae to prosecutors without detention on July 10, ChannelA reported.
The comedian and entertainer is facing allegations of special assault and violations of the Information and Communications Network Act, about seven months after complaints were filed by her former managers.
The former managers first submitted criminal complaints in December, accusing Park Na Rae of special assault, defamation through false statements, and other alleged violations.
One former manager, identified as "A," claimed she suffered injuries after an argument involving alcohol and submitted a medical report showing she required two weeks of treatment.
According to the allegations, "A" said she was verbally attacked and injured after refusing to drink alcohol, claiming a glass thrown during the incident caused facial bruising and a hand injury that needed four stitches. Additional accusations involving workplace harassment and unpaid wages were also raised.
Park Na Rae has denied the accusations and filed counterclaims against the former managers, accusing them of attempted extortion and occupational embezzlement.
Attorney Jang previously discussed the conflict in January, saying reconciliation appeared unlikely as the dispute grew more serious. He also mentioned claims involving multiple lawsuits and rising legal costs, though the details remain part of the ongoing legal battle.
