PLAVE Breaks Records and Redefines Music Industry with ‘Caligo Pt. 1’

PLAVE is making history! Caligo Pt. 1 shatters records and proves virtual idols are a global force.

PLAVE is making history and shaking up the global music industry with the release of their third mini album, Caligo Pt. 1, on February 3rd. Within just one day of its release, the album garnered over 11 million streams on South Korea’s Melon platform, earning two major achievements: entering the Billions Club for artists with over a billion accumulated streams and becoming the most-streamed album within 24 hours. By February 9th, just six days after its release, PLAVE surpassed two billion streams, and in the two weeks since, their Spotify monthly listeners have doubled, now exceeding one million.

Additionally, the album’s title track, “DASH,” charted on the Billboard Global 200 at #195 for the week of February 22, 2025, marking a major milestone in their international success.

PLAVE also set a new record for first-week sales of Caligo Pt. 1, with 1,039,308 copies sold according to Hanteo Music Chart. Approaching their second anniversary, PLAVE became the first boy group of 2025 to sell over a million copies of an album and the first-ever virtual idol group to achieve this feat. These groundbreaking achievements underscore PLAVE’s ability to break barriers, challenge norms, and redefine the industry.

The group also impressed audiences with their performances, winning first place on multiple music shows, including Show Champion and Show! Music Core. After their wins, the members expressed their gratitude to fans, saying, “It feels like a dream. We’re always thankful for our fans, PLLI.”

Caligo Pt. 1 follows PLAVE’s digital single Pump Up The Volume!, released five months earlier. The members contributed to the album’s composition, lyrics, choreography, and production, showcasing their talents as self-producing idols. As they continue both domestic and global promotions in 2025, these achievements are only the beginning for PLAVE.
