Police Gives Update On Sexual Harassment Case Which BTS’ Jin Was Victim To At “2023 FESTA”

Police have summoned a Japanese woman in her 50s for investigation following accusations of harassing BTS’s Jin, Chosun Ilbo reported on February 27, 2025.

The woman allegedly kissed Jin without his consent during a free hug event in Seoul on June 13, 2023, during FESTA, held to celebrate BTS’s 11th anniversary.

The investigation began after authorities received a report through the National Civil Service on June 14, 2023.

By July 2024, after seven months of joint investigations, police identified the suspect with assistance from Interpol.

Songpa Police Station charged the woman with sexual harassment and requested her cooperation, but she has yet to respond, according to Chosun Ilbo.

Police also plan to summon Jin as the victim in the case.
