The investigation regarding a Japanese woman who attempted to kiss BTS’s Jin last year has been halted.

The Songpa Police Station requested the woman in her 50s, accused of assault in a public place under the Sexual Violence Punishment Act, to appear as a suspect but decided to suspend the investigation as it is expected to take a considerable amount of time for them to appear.

According to the investigation rules, if the suspect cannot be found, has been overseas for over two months, or is seriously ill and cannot be questioned for a long period of time, the investigation can be suspended until the reason is resolved.
While the case was filed against the woman in January with a request to appear in court in February, it was revealed that she is still overseas, making it difficult to show up.

Previously, Jin held a free hug event for ARMYs to personally thank fans who continued to support him during his enlistment.
However, a particular clip went viral online as fans saw some fans trying to kiss Jin during the event, causing disgust among netizens.
