Popular K-Pop Idol Speaks To Former Group Member Who Passed Away, Through A Shamanistic Ritual

OMEGA X member Jaehan shared an emotional moment on television after taking part in a shamanic ritual that allegedly allowed him to communicate with his late friend and former group member, Kim Dongyoon.

The group recently appeared on the Korean program Syndrome, where they explored supernatural topics alongside practicing shamans. During the episode, Jaehan opened up about Dongyoon, whom he first met during their trainee days.

Before either of them debuted, the two trained together at another agency. According to Jaehan, it was Dongyoon who first encouraged him to join boy group Spectrum. The pair became close friends, but tragedy struck shortly after the group’s debut.

Dongyoon passed away just two months after Spectrum debuted in 2018 at the age of 20. Following the conclusion of Spectrum’s activities, Jaehan later re-debuted as a member of OMEGA X.

During the episode, a shaman performed a ritual and claimed to channel Dongyoon’s spirit. Through the shaman, Dongyoon allegedly delivered a heartfelt message to Jaehan.

Speaking as Dongyoon, the shaman master told Jaehan not to be sick, and that he would protect Jaehan from above, making sure that Jaehan would get booked and busy.

The emotional moment left Jaehan visibly moved as he listened to the message. While belief in shamanic rituals varies from person to person, many viewers focused on the emotional significance of the moment, saying it offered Jaehan a sense of closure and a touching way to remember one of his closest friends.
