The original diva Kim Wan Sun, also dubbed as the "Korean Madonna," will collaborate with the third-gen "Dancing Machine," Red Velvet's Seulgi.

On Jan. 9, Kim's label KWSunflower Entertainment announced the release of her new dance single "LUCKY," featuring the junior idol.

"'Lucky' is a track that contains the message that sometimes it takes courage to leave a complicated relationship so that good luck can come unexpectedly. It is a song that wishes you luck to stand up proudly and find yourself," explained the label through a press release.

The single will be released on Jan. 15 at 6:00 P.M. KST (4:00 A.M. EST) on various music platforms, both at home and abroad.

Regarding the collaboration, Kim Wan Sun and Seulgi, who also filmed an official music video together, raised high expectations as both are recognized as among the best dancers in the entertainment industry.

To ensure the quality of the song's dance steps, the La Chica crew, who rose to fame following the street dance program Street Woman Fighter, created the choreography for them.

In 2024, the team also made some of the biggest hits' choreos, such as aespa's "Supernova" and "Whiplash."

Lastly, to make the release more special, it was written, composed, arranged, and produced by singer and producer J.Y. Park, JYP Entertainment's founder.

The two first-gen legends previously worked together for Park's solo song "Changed Man" in 2023. In return, he gave the track "Lucky" to Wan Sun as a gift.
