In the latest episode of TV Chosun‘s Modern People: Mr. Lee, KARA member Han Seungyeon revealed that she once went on a blind date with a chaebol-esque rich man.

Given the episode’s premise of exploring the lives of women from South Korea’s most powerful chaebol (conglomerate) families, host Lee Kyung Kyu asked the idol-turned-actress if she had ever imagined dating a rich man—like the ones from K-Dramas.

Laughing, Seungyeon responded, “Who hasn’t?” Then she revealed that she actually did get the chance to do so…
Lee Kyung Kyu: Have you ever imagined dating a chaebol heir?
Han Seungyeon: Yes, but who hasn’t thought about it at least once while watching a K-Drama? Like, having a chaebol boyfriend come to swoop you up in his helicopter, right?
…though she ultimately turned it down due to how different their perspectives were.

I wouldn’t say he was a proper chaebol, but I did go on a blind date with someone very well-off. He had that second-generation Korean American vibe… but let’s just say we weren’t on the same page when it came to common sense. So, I had to turn him down.
