With the BTS concert at Gwanghwamun just three days away, President Lee Jae Myung emphasized safety.

On the 18th, President Lee posted a lengthy message on social media, saying, “On Saturday, March 21, a performance by South Korea’s proud artists BTS will take place at Gwanghwamun Square.

He added, “I hope it will be a meaningful time to share the charm of our beautiful cultural heritage and K-culture under the theme of ‘Arirang.’ We are making thorough preparations with related ministries, local governments, the police, fire departments, and other agencies to ensure the event proceeds safely.” He explained, “We will carefully and meticulously prepare all procedures for traffic and crowd control before and after the performance, as well as emergency responses.

He continued, “As always, I trust our citizens will show mutual consideration, maintain order, and demonstrate mature civic awareness. Please cooperate with instructions from on-site safety personnel and report any illegal ticket scalping that disrupts market order.

Finally, he said, “I hope this BTS concert will once again prove the great cultural power created by Korea and become a special moment remembered by people worldwide for a long time.

Meanwhile, BTS will release their fifth full album ARIRANG at 1 p.m. on the 20th and make their full-group comeback. Then, on the 21st at 8 p.m., they will hold BTS The Comeback Live: ARIRANG around Gwanghwamun Square.
