While less common in the past, more and more K-Pop idols sport tattoos as the practice becomes more socially accepted amongst younger people.

However, Stray KidsHan recently became a hot topic after a discussion surrounding his tattoos and JYP Entertainment‘s protocols around them.

Fans have been waiting for any peeks of Han’s tattoos for over a year. So far, fans believe that the idol has them on his chest, shoulder, and side, with more believed to be hiding under clothing.

Stray Kids’ Han Seemingly Showcases His New Chest Tattoo During Recent Performance

Recently, Stray Kids held their 5th fan meeting, and during the show, the members performed each other’s solos from their on-going world tour. Han took on Bang Chan’s “Railway,” which usually features the idol taking off his shirt.

During the first night of the fan meeting, Han did not do so. Later, during the show, he said that he actually wanted to but that JYP told him not to as his tattoos would be shown.

ㅅㅂ한지성이 레일웨이할때 진짜 벗고 싶엇는데 회사에서 맨살에 타투. 가 박혀잇다고 안된다고 햇대

Damn, when Han Jisung was performing Railway, he really wanted to take his shirt off, but the company said no because he has tattoos on his bare skin.

So when STAYs were chanting, “Show us! Show us!”

He was like, “I have no power… Go talk to the company,”
and he said it in a way that sounded straight out of a Netflix drama.

The next night, Han went against the company’s wishes, showing his abs and flashing a small bit of his tattoo while doing so.

After the show, the idol shared on a fan chatting platform that he was scolded as soon as the stage was over.

Han: I had so, so much fun over the last three days!
Han: Apparently, my tattoo was slightly visible when I revealed my abs today, and I got scolded as soon as I came down [from the stage].
Han: Heh.
Han: As long as you were happy, that’s all that matters.
Han: Time to lock my abs away again.

While Han reacted with humor to the situation, fans have slammed JYPE, specifically Division 1, for attempting to censor the idol.

div1 is beyond ridiculous. they're fine with drawing fake tattoos on with markers but god forbid we see a sliver of a tattoo that we already know is there 💀 it's his body, it should be his choice whether he wants to show them or not https://t.co/xlkn4P47xu

Div 1 is pmo these days too much …. Idols working under your label doesn't mean you own them. You can't restrict their choices, voices, autonomy and habits. These Fuck up Norma of kpop companies needs to end. https://t.co/TFktouYTCJ
