Shindong of Super Junior is once again drawing major attention online after sharing new photos that showed his dramatic 37kg weight loss, leading to mixed reactions from fans and netizens.

On June 22, Shindong uploaded several vacation photos on social media with the caption, "Food, coffee, sightseeing, lying down!!!! I rested well and came back. The end~."

According to SportsKhan, the singer recently traveled to Beijing, China, with fellow Super Junior member Eunhyuk and appeared relaxed while enjoying local food and sightseeing spots.

However, it was not the trip itself that quickly became the main topic online. Fans immediately focused on Shindong's noticeably slimmer appearance. His sharper facial features, slimmer body, and broader shoulder line stood out in the photos, giving him a very different image compared to before.

The idol's weight loss journey had already become a hot topic earlier after reports revealed he lost around 37kg.

Shindong Stuns Fans With Sharp New Appearance

Shindong previously shared that he tried using the anti-obesity medication Wegovy during his diet process but did not achieve the results he initially expected. He later continued losing weight by improving his eating habits and focusing on lifestyle changes.

Soon after the photos spread online, reactions poured in across social media and online communities. Some fans praised the singer's dedication and said he looked healthier and happier. Others were surprised by how different he looked, with several comments saying they had never seen him this slim before.

Still, not everyone reacted positively. Some netizens questioned why weight-loss drugs were being mentioned alongside praise for his transformation. A few critics argued that people should not describe such changes as a "human triumph" if medication played a role in the process, Koreaboo reported.

Others also commented on his appearance itself, with some saying his transformation looked "unnatural," while a few predicted he might regain the weight in the future.

At the same time, many defended Shindong, pointing out that maintaining weight loss still requires discipline regardless of whether medical support is involved.
