Teen Sisters’ Disturbing “Korean Obsession” Ends In Triple-Suicide — Note’s Details Spark International Attention

On February 4, 2026, the tragic deaths of three teenage sisters in the city of Ghaziabad in the Uttar Pradesh state of India were reported.

Around 2:15 a.m. local time on Wednesday, Feb. 4, officials responded to reports that three girls had jumped from the balcony of the ninth floor. According to initial new sources, the three sisters, aged 12, 14, and 16, jumped to their deaths after their parents restricted their cell phone usage.

It was reported that the girls used to play a task-based Korean game, and the last task was suicide, but investigations have not found a link as of writing. An eight-page note was left behind in the girls’ diary, which gave deeper insight into their lives, including a deep “obsession” with Korea.

The three girls reportedly had a social media account under Korean names where they discussed various aspects of the Hallyu Wave.

According to the note, the siblings were allegedly subjected to abuse at the hands of their father, who has a debt of Rs 2 crore (around 240,000 USD). The sisters claimed that their father attempted to arrange marriages for them to Indians, which they were vehemently against. 

Korean was our life, so how dare you make us leave our life? You didn’t know how much we loved them. Now you’ve seen the proof. Now we are convinced that Korean and K-Pop are our life. We didn’t love you and family as much as we loved the Korean actor and the K-Pop group. Korean was our life.

The three girls reportedly had not attended school for the last few years and spent all their time in a room on their phones.

The diary has been taken by the authorities as the investigation continues.
