Amid all of the scandals surrounding THE BOYZ members, current and former, a long-awaited collaborative event with the beloved ESTHER BUNNY character brand has been officially called off.
The “art collaboration” exhibition was initially set to take place from June 28 to August 10, 2025 (KST), at the Hangaram Art Museum in the prestigious Seoul Arts Center. Given the venue and duration, the event was thought to be of considerable size to attract K-Pop and art fans alike.

However, following the back-to-back scandals involving THE BOYZ members and, ultimately, the removal of Ju Haknyeon from the group for his prostitution scandal, ESTHER BUNNY announced as of June 18 that the “ESTHER BUNNY Exhibition: In Search of Myself” event has been cancelled “due to unforeseen external circumstances.”
Hello to all the fans who love ESTHER BUNNY,
Thank you sincerely to everyone who has been waiting for ‘Esther Bunny Exhibition: In Search of Myself.’ This exhibition was prepared with great affection from the very beginning, in line with our brand slogan, ‘Love Myself, Love Yourself.’ However, due to unforeseen external circumstances and after much deliberation, we have unfortunately decided to cancel the exhibition.
We deeply apologize to everyone who has been looking forward to it. All purchased tickets will be fully refunded. We will do our best to return with a wonderful ESTHER BUNNY exhibition in the future. Thank you.
— ESTHER BUNNY
The announcement has, expectedly, triggered some strong reactions from netizens. In addition to being upset with the “responsible” idols, online comments expressed concern and sympathy for ESTHER BUNNY and everyone who put the event together.

- “Damn… What about the artist and staff?”
- “What a massive inconvenience he is.”
- “June 28?! That was seriously just around the corner… Man, I feel terrible for the artist.”
- “All this because of one person… what the hell.”
- “At Hangaram, too… ugh…”
- “Please sue him. Seriously.”
- “Are you kidding me… 10 days before the exhibition?!”
- “Wow… how many people are getting screwed over because of one crazy person?”
- “Insane… Should make them pay all the penalties.”
- “Yeah, legal action should be considered.”
- “Whoa, it really was coming up soon…”

- “I wonder if he will have to pay for the damages alone, or the whole group…”
- “This is seriously such a huge nuisance.”
- “I actually wouldn’t say the event was all that big in scale, given the duration, but OK.”
- “Ugh. I really feel for the staff… Public art institutions already get a ton of complaints over exhibits they house, and it’s even worse when celebrities are involved (like ‘Isn’t this too commercial?’ complaints). So the SAC probably wasn’t thrilled about the scandals. It must’ve been hard for the artist and event staff to even book the space, and the museum staff probably worked hard too… Looks like they’ll never accept a K-pop exhibition again.”
- “Wow, what a major inconvenience.”
- “They probably already set aside a bunch of merch, too…”
- “Can’t they push for serious compensation? These celebrities, sigh.”
- “I like ESTHER BUNNY, and I debated buying tickets, but it felt too much like a fan event so I didn’t—and good thing I didn’t.”
- “Oh no…”
- “The artist and staff who worked on this… They must be devastated.”
Meanwhile, THE BOYZ shared the same news regarding the event—except it referred to an indefinite postponement rather than a complete cancellation, “due to unavoidable circumstances.”
