With so many talented idols, some popular stars were missed off the nominations list but some sparked anger among netizens as they believed groups and artists were “robbed” and “snubbed” by the event.

One group who netizens were shocked by the “lack” of awards was BABYMONSTER. After their re-debut, the group has showcased their influence with their releases and shows, but also cementing their talent and live vocals during performances.

Another group’s lack of nominations that shocked fans was ATEEZ.

Aside from fans’ choice and “Album of the Year,” ATEEZ were not nominated for any other award which shocked fans, especially after the successful year the group had with their releases, but also global performances including tours and Coachella. For many fans, netizens were furious that Mnet seemingly disrespected the group, and not for the first time.

Another shock to fans was the omission of LE SSERAFIM’s “Perfect Night” which had massive success and was predicted to be nominated.

Perfect Night is not nominated for SOTY when it's the song with the most points and CRAZY nominated instead when it was released 1 month ago and it has almost no points.

We were expecting them to get robbed by the judges but they got robbed even before.

With so much success within K-Pop, some artists sadly missed out but netizens believe some were unfairly robbed of nominations, including acts like DAY6, ITZY, and many other successful idols.
