It’s that time of the year again – time to objectify your favourite idols in the Kpopalypse Objectification Survey results! Let’s take a look at the winners for 2026 in the all-important category of upper-body objectification! Every year I write some thing here about why I do these objectification surveys for the knuckleheads who don’t get it (or just copy-paste the same shit from last year and hope nobody notices), but honestly a list like this doesn’t require justification. In today’s k-pop landscape where k-pop fans are as conservative and brainwashed as any fundamentalist religious cult member, and conversely all the “adult” k-pop content is AI-generated slop, ugly deepfakes or terrible Photoshops, there’s a desperate need for a middle-ground of sanity where the effort that k-pop’s men and women put into their appearances is appreciated.
