The Top Three K-Pop Songs of December 2025

2 hours ago 6

Monthly Round-UpAt the end of each month, I look back at my three favorite title tracks by K-pop artists. I take my own ratings into account, but there’s a bit of wiggle room as certain songs tend to grow or fade.

December 2025 Overall Thoughts

Well… I hate to say it but there are no “top three songs of December” this year.

This is the first time this has ever happened on The Bias List. I mean, December is always a very weak time for new music and very little gets released, but I can usually cobble together a list that doesn’t feel completely indefensible. However, I’ve got nothing that I’ve listened to more than a couple of times this month.

So rather than fill a “top three” with songs I don’t enjoy that much, I thought I’d do something different this time. Instead of the top three songs of this month, I’ll post my top three title tracks released during any December from 2008 to 2025. This still isn’t a very impressive longlist, but at least it gives us a killer top three!

Surprisingly, December is usually quite strong for J-pop. I’m not sure why that is, but there are often a lot of big releases. Maybe they simply need fodder for their own year-end music festivals? My top three of the month all ended up in my countdown for the year.

Usually as we look forward to the new year in K-pop, I try to reframe things optimistically, and I do feel that way about the year in general. However, January’s already concerning me. Very few comeback announcements have dropped and the teasers we’ve gotten so far have been less than exciting. I hope the month flips around to become an unexpected highlight.
