After seven years apart, beloved K-pop group Wanna One is set to reunite, sending excitement through fans worldwide.

The news was confirmed by an Mnet official on the 2nd with local media, “While the members were thinking about reconnecting with Wannable, they decided to produce a reality program that their fans would love the most.” The official added that the show is scheduled for release in the first half of 2026, and more details about the programming and schedule will be announced once finalized.

The announcement was teased the day before, on the 1st, through a video titled “2026 COMING SOON Let’s Meet Again”, posted on the Mnet Plus YouTube channel. The clip shows a scene of someone playing a cassette tape bearing the Wanna One logo, followed by a verse from their hit song Spring Breeze, titled Let’s Meet Again. The nostalgia-filled teaser was further amplified as members Hwang Min-hyun, Yoon Ji-sung, Park Woo-jin, and Lee Dae-hwi shared the video on their personal channels, delighting fans with a sense of anticipation and excitement.

For those who may need a refresher, Wanna One was formed through Mnet’s popular survival program Produce 101 Season 2, which aired in 2017. They officially debuted in August 2017 and promoted together for about 18 months, quickly rising to prominence as one of the defining 3rd-generation boy groups in K-pop. During their brief but impactful career, they released multiple hits, including Energetic, Boomerang, and Fire Fire, capturing the hearts of fans both in South Korea and internationally.

Following their disbandment, the members have pursued a variety of paths: some debuted in new groups, while others have been active as solo singers or actors. This upcoming reunion not only brings them back together but also offers a unique opportunity for fans to see the group in a more personal and behind-the-scenes context, through the upcoming reality show.

The decision to create a reality program — rather than a traditional comeback — seems designed to capture the nostalgia of Wannable, giving fans a glimpse of the members’ personalities, friendships, and growth over the years. With the teaser already circulating, the anticipation for what is being called one of the most highly awaited K-pop reunions of 2026 is steadily building.

Whether longtime fans or new followers, audiences can look forward to witnessing the energy, charm, and dynamic teamwork that once made Wanna One a global phenomenon. The reunion promises to be more than just a musical comeback; it’s a celebration of friendships, memories, and the bond between artists and fans that time cannot diminish.
