The festival was a perfect blend of high-energy performances, intimate moments, and communal joy, with a lineup that kept everyone on their feet across both days.
DAY ONE
Day One was packed with electrifying performances that set the tone for the weekend. The DJs at Waterbomb Singapore 2024 played a pivotal role in keeping the energy levels sky-high, seamlessly interweaving their sets with the K-pop lineups. Each DJ set was strategically placed before or after key performances, enhancing the overall experience and keeping the momentum going.
DJ Raw and Nicole Chen on Day 1, for example, set the stage for the bigger acts, getting the crowd hyped just in time for the next wave of music and water fun.
On Day Two, Jade Rasif was a standout, with her set serving as a high-octane bridge between performances. Each "Waterbomb Time" session, marked by the DJs' beats, was an exhilarating interval that turned the festival into a full-blown water battle, amplifying the excitement and ensuring that the audience remained fully immersed in the fun.
As the afternoon progressed, the energy shifted when Kwon Eunbi, living up to her title as the "Queen of Waterbomb," delivered a powerful performance that had everyone entranced. Her rendition of "Underwater" was a perfect fit for the event, and the audience responded with cheers and applause, showing just how much they appreciated her presence.
The excitement continued to build as VIVIZ followed with energetic performances of "Mania" and "Untie." The trio's choreography and stage presence were undeniable, leaving a lasting impression on the crowd.
Sandara Park brought a wave of nostalgia with her 2NE1 medley, sending the hardcore Blackjacks into a frenzy. Her performance was a standout, not just for the music but for the connection she maintained with the audience, who were clearly thrilled to see her live.
As the evening progressed, Jessi took the stage and delivered not just a performance but a meaningful message. Her set was a blend of hits like "Zoom", "Nunu Nana" and of course, candid yet heartfelt advice, urging everyone to take care of their health and be positive influences in each other's lives. Rain, one of the headliners for Day 1, brought his legendary status to the stage with an unforgettable performance of "Rainism." His blend of smooth vocals and intricate dance moves demonstrated why he remains a global superstar.
The night closed with jaw-dropping performances by Jay Park, who brought out Singaporean rapper Shigga Shay for a special guest appearance, igniting the stage with their dynamic collaboration. It was the perfect way to end Day 1, leaving the audience buzzing with excitement as their minds lingered on Jay Park's amazingly toned body and his unforgettable charisma.
DAY TWO
Day Two kept the energy high, starting with Gemstarr and Haven setting the stage for another day of music and water fights. The crowd was treated to performances by artists like SORN, who surprised everyone with a special guest appearance, and Team Bebe, the dance crew from "Street Woman Fighter 2."
Their performance of Bada's famous "Smoke" and K-pop hits like Kiss of Life's "Sticky" was a visual feast, showcasing their incredible dance skills.
Chung Ha mesmerized the audience with a powerful performances of hits like "Gotta Go," showcasing her talents and stage presence with a near-perfect live singing that were accompanied with intense choreography. Fans were left reeling by how she could belt those notes so flawlessly while keeping up with her dance routine.
BamBam was another highlight, charming the audience with his solo tracks "Sweet and Sour" and a powerful rendition of GOT7's "Hard Carry." Ever the entertainer, BamBam playfully teased the crowd, asking them to put down their phones and enjoy the moment, creating an atmosphere of pure enjoyment.
Bibi then took the stage, effortlessly blending sweet and sexy vibes with her coy and sultry performances of "Binu," "Vengeance," and "Bam Yang Gang." Her set was a masterclass in balancing duality, leaving the audience captivated.
Loco was another standout on Day 2, turning his set into an impromptu singalong session with the crowd for his hit "Say Yes." The spontaneous connection he fostered with the audience was one of the festival's most memorable moments.
And just when everyone thought the festival couldn't get any better, CL took the stage for a solo performance that was nothing short of iconic. As one of K-pop's most influential figures, CL's set was a fitting end to an incredible weekend, leaving the crowd in awe.
From the music to the water fights, the festival was a sensory overload in the best possible way. The atmosphere was electric, with booths offering free samples, mini-games for vouchers, and cold Carlsberg beers keeping everyone refreshed. The beach outfits were stunning, the vibes were immaculate, and by the end of each day, everyone was thoroughly soaked and fully immersed in the Waterbomb experience. As the final notes faded and the water guns were finally put down, one thing was clear: this was a weekend that no one would forget anytime soon.
