Wonder Girls' Hyerim Welcomes Second Child After Being 'Worried' About Her Pregnancy

Wonder Girls' Hyerim will soon be singing "Sweet Dreams" to a new member of the family.

The former idol and her husband, Taekwondo athlete Shin Min Chul, have welcomed their second son, Deng Kong, into the world.

Hyerim made the announcement on December 12th, a day after giving birth, with a post on her Instagram.

"December 11. Our baby Deng Kong was born yesterday!!" she wrote.

"Thank you for coming to mom and dad! Deng Kong!! I still can't believe I'm a mom of two sons."

The overjoyed mom revealed that she'd been "worried" about her pregnancy for months, thanking her son and medical staff for arriving safely and carrying out the operation well.

"Let's have a great time together! Welcome to the world, baby!" she said.

"Thank you so much to everyone who cheered us on. Both Thank Kong and I are healthy. We love you so much already!! Thank you so much for coming to our family. Praise God!"

Hyerim debuted in Wonder Girls in 2010, which disbanded in 2017, and married Taekwondo athlete Shin Min Chul in July 2020. The couple welcomed their first son, Shin Si-woo, in 2022.
