Wonho Explores Club Music and Vulnerability on New EP 'CORE'

iwonhoyou/Instagram Wonho has released CORE, a seven-track EP led by the dance-pop single "Don't Wake Me Up!"The project arrived July 21 and moves through club music, R&B and pop while connecting its songs through themes of vulnerability and self-protection.Its tracklist includes "Answer," "Don't Wake Me Up!," "Can't Get Enough," "Summer Blue," "Test Drive," "Down" and "Promises." The closing track features Brother Su."Don't Wake Me Up!" is built around pounding bass, sharp synthesizers and driving drums. The song captures the desire to remain inside a moment of escape rather than return to reality, giving the EP an energetic focal point.The wider project is organized around three concepts: "RAW," "SHELL" and "CRACK." Together, they describe an exposed inner self, the defenses built around it and the moments when those defenses begin to break.That framework allows Wonho to pair physical, performance-driven music with more reflective writing.
