In the post, the original poster points out that YG seems to be sticking with what worked in the past, referencing BLACKPINK’s Lisa, a Thai star who found massive global success.
It looks like YG has picked another Thai member for their next girl group. After tasting sweet success with Lisa, it seems they can’t let go of that country… Her proportions and face look pretty similar to Pharita’s.

According to her profile, Chanya has been training under YG for 2 years and 8 months. She is listed as a vocalist and is multilingual, speaking Thai, English, and Korean. Despite her young age, she is already being nicknamed the “New Lisa” by fans and media alike due to both her nationality and her early potential.

While many international fans expressed excitement over another Thai member debuting under YG, some have also voiced concern over Chanya’s age, questioning whether it is appropriate to debut someone so young.

However, in Korea, the focus appears to be more on her nationality and YG’s ongoing strategy for international success.

- “Better than bringing in someone from China.”
- “When you look at other groups too, Thai members tend to have really strong skills… LOL”
- “The way YG promotes their groups is all about YouTube subscriber counts and views—they push the whole ‘popular overseas’ angle. That’s why they can’t give up on Southeast Asia.”
- “Still better than clinging to Chinese members.”
- “But honestly, haven’t all of YG’s Thai members had pretty good overall balance? Lisa, Chiquita, Pharita…”
