2NE1's Sandara Park is drawing attention after quietly unfollowing former bandmate Park Bom on Instagram while publicly backing fellow member Minzy amid an escalating dispute over fresh drug allegations.
On March 4, Korean media and fans noticed that Sandara had unfollowed Park Bom on Instagram, but continued to follow CL and Minzy, signaling where her current loyalties may lie.
Around the same time, she appeared to show support for Minzy through social media interactions and by keeping visible ties with her, which fans interpreted as an effort to emphasize unity with the group's youngest member, according to allkpop.
Sandara's move came just hours after Park Bom uploaded, then deleted, a handwritten letter accusing her of past drug abuse and claiming she had been used as a scapegoat.
The combination of the unfollow, Sandara's public denial, and her choice to remain connected with Minzy has fueled speculation of a widening rift inside the former 2NE1 lineup.
In the now-deleted letter shared on March 3, Park Bom revisited her long‑running Adderall controversy, insisting the medication was prescribed for Attention Deficit Disorder and "is not a drug."
She alleged that Sandara had previously been "caught for drug abuse" and that her own case was turned into a scandal to cover it up, reigniting a sensitive chapter in 2NE1's history, Sportskeeda reported.
The post spread quickly among fans before being removed, with many urging Sandara to respond directly. Park Bom's renewed claims generated concern not only because of their seriousness, but also because she has been on hiatus since August last year for health reasons, according to her former agency.
Sandara addressed the accusations the next day through an Instagram Story, stating, "I have never used drugs. I wish her well." A source quoted in Korean media also described Park Bom's claims as "completely unfounded" and said Sandara is worried about Bom's health, underlining her restrained and measured public stance.
Despite the tension, Sandara has continued her public activities, appearing at a brand event in Seoul on Mar. 4, where she seemed composed in front of cameras.
For many longtime Blackjacks, her continued support for Minzy and silence beyond the brief denial highlight both her loyalty to her bandmates and the emotional weight of 2NE1's legacy, as per Channel News Asia.
