With its finale just around the corner, “Spring of Youth” is ready to bring its story to a close!
“Spring of Youth” tells the story of Sa Gye (Ha Yoo Joon), a member of K-pop’s most famous band, who is suddenly ousted from his group. As he enrolls and adjusts to college life for the first time, he falls for Kim Bom (Park Ji Hu) and rediscovers his passion for music by joining a campus band. N.Flying’s Lee Seung Hyub stars as Sa Gye’s romantic rival Seo Tae Yang.
Ahead of tomorrow’s final episode, here are five key points to look out for:
Spoilers
1. Will Ha Yoo Joon and Lee Seung Hyub survive?
In the last episode, Tae Yang was left in shock after overhearing a conversation between CEO Jo (Jo Han Chul) and his father Seo Min Chul (Kim Jong Tae), and learned that his father caused Kim Bom’s mother’s death. Already anxious after seeing TWO SAGYE appear as a last-minute replacement on his show and noticing Secretary Kang (Kim Seo Ha), one of CEO Jo’s henchmen, Tae Yang threw himself when he noticed Sa Gye was in danger, causing them both to pass out.
Since Seo Min Chul previously urged CEO Jo to permanently silence Sa Gye, the two are expected to have suffered serious harm. Will they survive this life-threatening ordeal?
2. Will Jo Han Chul and Kim Jong Tae face justice?
Six years ago, CEO Jo and Seo Min Chul killed Kim Bom’s mother in a drunk driving hit-and-run but covered it up, knowing the typhoon that night left no witnesses or CCTV footage. Years later, Sa Gye, then a member of The Crown, drunkenly mentioned the accident to CEO Jo and was promptly kicked out of the group. When CEO Jo learned Sa Gye had formed a new band, TWO SAGYE, with Kim Bom, he blocked their activities at every turn.
Now that Sa Gye has discovered his cornea donor was Kim Bom’s mother and even found the hidden hospital records, viewers are eager to see if CEO Jo and Seo Min Chul will finally pay for their crimes.
3. The fate of Ha Yoo Joon, Park Ji Hu, and Lee Seung Hyub’s love triangle
At the heart of the drama’s romance are Sa Gye, Kim Bom, and Seo Tae Yang. Sa Gye and Kim Bom’s bond grew stronger after he learned his transplanted cornea came from her mother, but he still hasn’t told her the truth about her mother’s accident. How will this secret affect their relationship in the end?
Meanwhile, Kim Bom firmly rejected Seo Tae Yang’s heartfelt confession in Episode 9, but she also showed sadness as she remembered how he comforted her during her darkest days after her mother’s death. With Tae Yang risking his life to protect Sa Gye, will Kim Bom’s feelings for him change in the finale?
4. How will Seo Hye Won and Kim Sun Min’s romance end?
Another key couple is Bae Gyu Ri (Seo Hye Won) and Gong Jin Gu (Kim Sun Min). Their bickering chemistry blossomed after Jin Gu moved into Kim Bom’s house, where Gyu Ri also lives. In Episode 8, Gyu Ri secretly put a piece of fish on Jin Gu’s rice when he was being scolded by Kim Ja Young (Cha Chung Hwa), deeply touching him. Later, Jin Gu grabbed her wrist and gazed into her eyes, creating a heart-fluttering moment. Will this “grilled fish couple” end with a sweet, real romance?
5. What’s next for TWO SAGYE?
Finally, the fate of TWO SAGYE remains a key point to watch. The band not only marked Sa Gye’s first step into campus life but also changed Tae Yang’s musical career. The group shone brightest when all five members—Sa Gye, Kim Bom, Seo Tae Yang, Bae Gyu Ri, and Gong Jin Gu—were together. Will they reunite one last time in the finale? With Tae Yang now thriving as The Crown’s new leader and TWO SAGYE gaining attention for their cover of The Crown’s song, viewers are curious about where each member’s path will lead.
The final episode of “Spring of Youth” airs on July 2 at 10:40 p.m. KST.
