NewJeans previously released a statement in response to ADOR filing a lawsuit against them to confirm the validity of their contract.
NewJeans Refutes Legal Action Taken By ADOR Regarding Termination Of Contract
In the statement, the girls claimed that their managers and the producers that helped with their remaining schedules had been harassed by ADOR and HYBE.
We faithfully carry out our remaining schedules with ADOR as promised immediately after terminating our contract. However, we saw that the managers and producers helping with our schedules were harassed and had their laptops taken away by ADOR and HYBE.
We find this behavior toward the staff difficult to accept and find it painful that the damages caused by this inhumane company are not limited to us. Although the road ahead may not be easy, we dream of living with our fans who love us with healthy music activities. And we want to achieve that dream.

The extent of the harassment was revealed by a current staff member via Channel A News. They claimed that not only were their personal items taken from them, they were also locked up for hours.
They bothered the performance director and other staff with unnecessary, frequent meetings, and bullied them. They asked the managers for their personal phones. They even forced them to stay in the office for more than three hours, not allowing them to go home.

Following the staff’s exposé, Channel A contacted HYBE to verify the claims. HYBE has yet to reply.
