But one aspect of aespa’s latest concerts has garnered widespread criticism from many attendees and netizens alike.

Naevis, the virtual idol who is also a part of aespa’s original lineup, had a solo performance segment during aespa’s concerts. Notably, Naevis first made her on-stage appearance during the initial phase of aespa’s tour and made her official debut a few months later with “Done.”

Though Naevis’s performance has been a part of aespa’s recent tour since the beginning, it was significantly changed to match the vibe of the encore concerts. According to a viral post on Instiz, the new song performed by the virtual idol was not well-fit for the concert. Many netizens agreed with the post, venting their own dissatisfaction with the inclusion of Naevis in aespa’s concerts.

  • “This is genuinely funny as hell.”
  • “Ugh.”
    — “Seriously, packaging Naevis with aespa is too much.”
  • “Someone please mess up her code.”

  • “But I think adults like that kind of stuff (AI, NFT) and find it interesting. The problem is that the executives are also of that age.”
  • “Please take her out of the next concert.”
