ASTRO member and actor Cha Eunwoo will be holding his photo exhibition in Japan as planned. It marks his first official activity since the tax evasion allegations and will take place while he is currently serving in the military.
Cha Eunwoo | Star NewsThe K-Pop idol’s behind-the-scenes photo exhibition will run from March 28 to May 12, 2026, in Tokyo’s central Ginza district. Ticket sales opened on March 14, with admission priced at 4,000 yen (approximately $25–30 USD). Visitors will also be able to purchase official merchandise after viewing the exhibition.
Having enlisted in July of last year, Cha Eunwoo is currently serving his mandatory military duty. In response, his agency, Fantagio, told Xports News on March 16, “This exhibition is a project that was already contracted in August 2024, and it is proceeding according to the schedule agreed upon at that time,” clarifying that the plans were finalized nearly two years ago.

Earlier this year, however, Cha Eunwoo faced heavy public criticism after becoming embroiled in allegations of tax evasion. He reportedly underwent an intensive tax audit by the Seoul Regional Tax Office’s Investigation Bureau 4 last year and was later notified by the National Tax Service of a reassessment totaling approximately ₩20.0 billion KRW (about $13.4 million USD) in income taxes and related fees.
Despite the controversy, the photo exhibition will proceed as planned, as the contract was finalized before both his enlistment and the tax scandal. However, Cha Eunwoo will not be attending the event due to his ongoing military service.
