Global superstars BTS have found themselves at the center of controversy after fans and online communities accused the group of unauthorized involvement in a Michael Jackson tribute project. The backlash came after reports alleged that BTS had participated in a tribute album or project dedicated to the late pop icon — claims that were quickly disputed by the Michael Jackson estate.

In response to the growing rumors, BigHit Music, BTS’s agency under HYBE, stepped forward to set the record straight. In an official statement, the company clarified that all rumors were false.

The confusion appears to have stemmed from a misinterpreted media report that speculated about BTS’s potential involvement in a global tribute initiative, which included multiple international artists. However, with both BigHit and the Jackson estate denying any official connection, the rumors have now been effectively shut down.
