Mnet has announced its new reality K-Pop survival competition show, BOYS II PLANET, after the success of Boys Planet, which formed ZEROBASEONE out of its top 9 contestants. BOYS II PLANET will take a slightly different approach, though. While ZEROBASEONE is a global group, including Korean members as well as Chinese and Canadian, the new show will debut two groups simultaneously, one Korean and one Chinese. So, there will not be one global group like ZEROBASEONE.

Netizens suspect Mnet is trying to capitalize off the Chinese market by taking an approach like EXO-K and EXO-M. Two of the most popular Boys Planet contestants were Chinese: Ricky and Zhang Hao.
