BTS Has A Famous New Member, Thanks To A Hilarious Mix-Up 

BTS has become a household name, thanks to their chart-topping music and enduring worldwide popularity, but not everyone knows the individual members.

The same goes for other popular idol groups. EXO‘s Kai learned that firsthand during Episode 96 of Changing Majors (also known as Jeongwaja). This variety web series features various schools and the people Kai meets while visiting them. Here, he asked a woman if she was familiar with K-Pop stars.

“My absolute favorite is BTS,” she said with zero hesitation, straight to Kai’s face. He then asked her, “Do you know their names? The BTS members?” 

“Oh, of course I do,” she replied proudly, impressing Kai. However, when asked to name them, she tried to avoid answering, saying, “Oh, don’t ask me that.”

Kai then threw her some “bait” by asking, “Do you know Kai from BTS?” 

She quickly said that she did know “Kai from BTS” and that she’s a fan, making everyone–including the staff–burst out laughing. As Jimin from EXO–er, Jimin from BTS–would sing, it seems that the woman was, “Caught in a lie.”

It’s possible that Kai might have been referencing a viral TikTok video, where an interviewer asks a K-Pop fan who her BTS bias is. She playfully replies, “Kai, you know” and looks confused when the interviewer says, “Wait, Kai? Kai from BTS? Are you sure Kai’s from BTS?”
