During a transmission on Weverse, BTS is officially back together. The seven members reunited on July 1 for their first OT7 live broadcast since 2022. During the livestream, they confirmed that a new album is coming in spring 2026 and announced a special project releasing later this month.

"We are back, everyone!" RM said at the start of the live, sending ARMY worldwide into a frenzy. The livestream marked their first group appearance since they began mandatory military service, which is expected to conclude for all members by mid-2025.

The reunion was filled with laughter, updates, and plenty of surprises. V shared that he still wakes up at 6:30 a.m. every day to do military roll call out of habit. Jungkook revealed new tattoos, including one on his chest and another on his hand, which fans were quick to spot.

The most exciting announcement came when RM confirmed that BTS will start working on new music this month. The new album is scheduled for release in spring 2026, marking their official musical comeback. The leader also hinted that a world tour could be part of the comeback plans, although no dates have been confirmed.

In addition to the 2026 album, BTS will release their first-ever live album, Permission to Dance On Stage – LIVE, on July 18, 2025. The album features 22 tracks recorded during their global tour from 2021 to 2022, with concerts held in Seoul, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas.

Fans can expect not just the audio recordings but also a digital package including high-definition concert footage from Seoul and a 92-page photobook featuring behind-the-scenes images and exclusive interviews with the members.

The Permission to Dance On Stage tour attracted more than 4 million attendees worldwide and was one of the last performances before the members started their military service.

Fans took to social media to celebrate the group's return, sharing screenshots and emotional messages. "It feels like 2019 again!" one ARMY wrote on X (formerly Twitter). Another added, "Seeing OT7 together after all this time is everything."

The BTS Weverse live comes after months of speculation about when the group would officially reunite. While solo activities and music releases kept fans engaged, the full-group comeback marks a highly anticipated moment in the global music industry.

With the live album release set for July and a new studio album on the horizon, BTS is officially closing the military chapter and opening a new era. ARMY worldwide can now look forward to more music, possible concerts, and the return of the biggest boy band on the planet.
