V is known to be a longtime fan of jazz.

I think it’s a great blessing to be able to be moved by Jazz

Of the many jazz musicians he admires, Bing Crosby is one of V’s favorites.

This is my favorite video [in existence]/the best video of my entire life. And I am now sharing it with you all

— V

For instance, on social media, V posted a clip from the famous “Now You Has Jazz” scene from the 1956 classic film High Society, featuring Bing Crosby and Louis Armstrong.

V has even used iconic Bing Crosby song lyrics for his photo captions.

Again, when he released a vlog, V included “It’s Been a Long, Long Time,” sung by Bing Crosby, in his driving playlist.

In the past, the social media accounts created by Bing Crosby’s estate account in memoriam of the late singer, including X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and Instagram, all shared the clip of V listening to “It’s Been a Long, Long Time.”

Additionally, the account followed V’s personal account on Instagram.

The video of V was even pinned on the X account. The social media manager took time to reply to some ARMYs’ comments.

Bing would be a part of the #BTSARMY for sure 🫰 https://t.co/e3h6AfjYct

At the time, the social media manager even wished V and Bing Crosby could collaborate. At the time, it seemed like a dream.

It’s become a reality now, as Bing Crosby and V’s collaboration has been released.

Today, Bing Crosby’s official YouTube channel released the duet of the beloved holiday song “White Christmas” between the late singer and V. The music video is an animation featuring Bing Crosby and V’s dog, Yeontan, who recently passed.

ARMYs loved the inclusion of Yeontan, knowing he has been immortalized. The MV feels like a tribute to both Yeontan and Bing Crosby.

Yeontan will live on through his music projects forever. Best gift he ever received. Bing Crosby & Taes voice blended together so heavenly. 🎄

The thought of seeing Yeontan at Bing Crosby's official Youtube channel- an artist that Taehyung has grown to look up to and has admired for years, makes me feel so proud of Tae. It must be a full circle moment for him to sing along with his idol, all while seeing the pooch he… https://t.co/KzcseWdPS2

Yet, another detail made ARMYs especially happy.

In a newly released article, details concerning the production of Bing Crosby and V’s “White Christmas” were released. With the increase of AI (Artificial Intelligence) usage in media, none was used to make this collab despite Bing Crosby’s passing. While he obviously couldn’t record anything new, the producers didn’t rely on AI technology to make the collab happen. Instead, they used old recordings.

Bing Crosby's voice in this song was not recreated using AI technology, but was delicately separated from the original White Christmas. His extracted voice was paired with V's vocals & new accompaniment added to make it sound as if they were singing in the same recording studio. pic.twitter.com/18WxKlUEnt

ARMYs were relieved to hear there was no AI involvement in the project.

Beyond excited for this, and so glad they clarified: “Bing Crosby's voice in this song is not reproduced with AI technology, but delicately separated from the original album 'White Christmas' recorded in the 1950s.”#WhiteChristmasWithBingV https://t.co/0k6Dgd3jOV pic.twitter.com/LZC5sG9fn7

Love that it wasn't AI.
