BABYMONSTER'S Pharita isn't the group's lead vocalist for no reason. The Thai singer, signed to YG Entertainment's first group since BLACKPINK, earned co-signs from giants like Demi Lovato.
At a recent Seoul stop for BABYMONSTER's first-ever world tour, Pharita covered the X-Factor judge's "What Other People Say" as part of the setlist.
Australian singer-songwriter, Sam Fischer who penned the track alongside Lovato in 2021, caught wind of the performance, sharing his awe at the 19-year-old's flawless vocals on TikTok.
"Hey, so this is crazy," he captioned the video, tagging the girl group and co-writer Demi Lovato.
In the reaction video, the songwriter watched the vocalist easily ascend difficult scales, mouth quite literally agape, shaking his head in disbelief at Pharita's breathless melodies.
"I'm currently sick, laid out on my couch in London and a friend has just sent me this video of Babymonster EATING UP 'What Other People Say' to an arena in Seoul?? What is happening?" he wrote.
Following Fischer's co-sign, Lovato gave her flowers to the young singer, a rare move for the experienced vocal coach, who was a guest judge on the singing competition The X Factor in 2012.
Lovato reposted Fischer's TikTok video to their Instagram story, simply captioning it, "Love this."
Pharita, a tried-and-true fan-girl, has previously showcased her talent with covers like John Legend's "All of Me."
