This instance is not the first time alleged fat-shaming or body-shaming or Sunoo has happened, sparking outrage from netizens.

In a clip from a live that Jungwon did, the idol responds to fan’s comments, first answering a fan who asked to be praise for their weightloss.

Jungwon does so, on the condition they did it on purpose, and mentions that fans have said they lose weight in preparation of seeing him. He says that he does not want that and would rather fans eat without worry. He also tells fans that they don’t need to diet unless it is for health reasons.
