[Event Coverage] Running Man “Run 2 U” in KL: A Night of Laughter, Music, and Fan Love

The Mines International Exhibition and Convention Centre (MIECC) was buzzing with excitement on February 15, 2025, as fans eagerly awaited the return of their favorite variety show stars. Seven years after their last visit, the cast of Running Man—Yoo Jae Seok, Kim Jong Kook, Haha, Song Ji Hyo, Jee Seok Jin, and Yang Se Chan—brought their “Run 2 U” live show to Kuala Lumpur, promising an unforgettable night of entertainment.

Once the doors to the exhibition hall was open, the hall was quickly filled with the fans of the popular variety show. Theme colors of the day were blue and light yellow, and most of the fans were dressed according to the colors.

The show kicked off with a burst of energy as the members took to the stage, greeted by thunderous applause. The cast immediately captivated the audience with the opening sequence as they sang Spring Day by popular group BTS.

After the opening sequence, they wasted no time diving into a series of hilarious games, reminiscent of the challenges they face on the show. One of the highlights was the “Potman” game, where in a team of two, one member has to defend themselves from being hit by the other member. To do this, they can use a “pot cover”. The sight of the usually charismatic stars avoiding being hit, had the audience in stitches.

The special part was when a fan was given a chance to take part as the attacker. 2 fans were chosen to be on stage,

The cosplay segment was another crowd-pleaser. Each member transformed into a character given to them by random, and their reactions to it showcased their playful side and sparking laughter.

Of course, no Running Man show would be complete without some heartwarming fan interactions. The members took time to connect with their Malaysian fans, taking pictures and talking to them. Their genuine warmth and appreciation for their fans were evident, creating a special bond between the stars and their audience.

Amidst the games and laughter, the members also showcased their musical talents. Each member took to the stage to perform, much to the delight of the audience.

The night was a perfect blend of comedy, music, and heartfelt interactions, leaving the audience with lasting memories. As the show drew to a close, the members expressed their gratitude to the Malaysian fans for their unwavering support and promised to return in the future.

The “Run 2 U” show in Kuala Lumpur, organised by Sunstrong Entertainment was a resounding success, proving the enduring popularity of Running Man and the strong connection they share with their global fanbase.
