EVERGLOW‘s Yiren shocked fans with a series of heartbreaking Bubble messages that revealed just how much she has been paid for her work as an idol.

In her messages, Yiren claimed that she had never been paid and had not received a single paycheck. EVERGLOW debuted in 2019, making Yiren a six-year-old idol.

Even though EVERGLOW has done well with streaming, album sales, and tours, Yiren said she has not received any earnings because the members have not yet settled with the company. While talking about the group’s upcoming tour and the lack of new songs, she opened up about the reason why.
I love the stage very much but in a sense I have zero income, but I don’t want to give up this career? In reality we haven’t settled yet, not once. So, the tour is really what we want to show our fans, and we are working hard to prepare. But I’m sorry that there are no new songs and performances to show everyone hahaha.
— Yiren
Fans were shocked, with one questioning how there had been no progress in the members getting paid.
Fan: Baby…I can’t believe there hasn’t been any pay settlements. I thought there was a way after following a few shows previously.
Yiren: From debut until now, not even once. I’m a worker with 0 salary hahahahaha. It’s okay, at least I can still see Forever. And have the chance to stand on stage. It’s fine.
While many K-pop idols have spoken about long trainee debts and delayed payments, six years without any earnings has left fans outraged. They believe the group’s success should have generated enough revenue by now for members to be paid. Some are calling for an explanation from EVERGLOW’s agency, Yuehua Entertainment, demanding transparency about the group’s financial situation.

EVERGLOW have not been paid as artists by their company, Yue Hua Entertainment, from debut until today.
From the millions of dollars they have generated from billions of streams and several live shows over the last six years, Yue Hua has taken it all.#EverglowDeservesBetter pic.twitter.com/gsFNnJVgCK

Yiren’s messages have also sparked discussions about how common such issues are in the industry and whether idols should have better financial protection. As fans wait for a response from the company, many continue to express their disappointment and concern for the members’ well-being.
