Hellokpop: Hello PRIMROSE! To start, could each of you introduce yourselves and share something about you or your role in PRIMROSE?

Ruby: Hello, I’m Ruby! I think my smile is attractive.

Nahyun: Hello, I’m PRIMROSE’s Nahyun. I tend to listen to the lyrics more importantly than the melody, so I try to deliver the lyrics better. I think that’s one of the strengths and efforts I try to put in.

Rainie: I’m Rainie, the oldest, who has a very charming and lively voice and can give good energy to people.

Hayun: I’m the youngest member of PRIMROSE. My position is vocal and rap!

HKP: Congratulations on your third mini-album, ‘Steal Heart’! What are you most excited about with this comeback?

Hayun: Our album ‘Steal Heart’ is inspired by the concept of a caper movie. As you can see in the music video, it captures the vibe of a cinematic scene of a movie. The title track, “Steal Heart,” is rooted in the old-school hip-hop genre. Its chorus is easy to listen to, making it simple for many people to sing along while enjoying the song!

RAINIE

HKP: What do you hope listeners take away from ‘Steal Heart’? Are there any specific emotions or messages you want to convey through the album?

Nahyun: We’re showing the fans a confident and different side of PRIMROSE, delivering a message to steal your heart in our own special way. Please enjoy!

HKP: The character introduction for the album is so cool. How did you prepare for your roles, and can you tell us more about your characters?

Ruby: I took on the role of the conductor, figuring out the path in my mind and communicating all the details.

Nahyun: I’m the clever character who discovers the way forward and teaches it to others.

Rainie: My character is a thinker, constantly planning and practicing how to direct the right vibes.

Hayun: I’m the “Replica Queen,” an expert in crafting knockoffs. I create fake ID cards to access the auction house, steal a non-freezing heart, and transform it into a fake one.

HKP: Can you share some behind-the-scenes moments from the “Steal Heart music video shoot that fans would love to hear about?

Ruby: There was a scene where Rainie was sitting and waiting for our team, and I ended up getting caught by her. We were supposed to look at each other, but we couldn’t stop laughing, so we had to look elsewhere instead.

HKP: After working on ‘Steal Heart,’ have you discovered anything new about yourselves or each other as a group?

Ruby: I discovered that red hair suits me well and that I’m definitely a ‘warm tone!’ I also realized that calm tones, like narration, really complement me.

Nahyun: I found that I can enjoy performing even more when working on an exciting song. Thanks to the energy of the song, I get more energy from the performance.

Rainie: I didn’t expect it to turn out this cool, and it gave me a little more confidence in my acting.

Hayun: Filming the music video was my first time trying acting, and I received so many compliments on the set. Since then, I’ve become very interested, and if I get the chance, I’d love to try acting again!

NAHYUN

HKP: Is there a particular lyric or verse from the album that holds special meaning for each of you?

Hayun: First of all, in the title track “Steal Heart,” the lyrics “I have it all your type” capture the concept of confident and cool women.

In “Trick or Trigg,” the lyrics “Target to you, trigger” convey the bold message of pulling the trigger without hesitation.

In “Feel It,” the lyrics “More freely, run freely” express PRIMROSE’s sense of free-spirited energy well.

HKP: For new listeners, which song would you recommend they listen to first, and why?

Nahyun: I recommend listening to it in the order of the songs in the album. I think it’s the most comfortable song to continue the song in our and the label’s opinion!

HKP: Which part of the comeback preparation did you find the most enjoyable or challenging?

Ruby: I really liked the song, so I wanted to do it a lot more. I liked myself changing while preparing for the comeback. So I don’t think there were many difficulties.

Nahyun: It was physically tough, but the song and choreography were so good that I remember preparing it happily. So I waited for the comeback with a smile.

Rainie: It was the hardest to memorize the choreography in a week and shoot the music video immediately. I was very stressed initially and didn’t know if I could pull it off well, but when I saw the results, it came out so pretty that I felt very satisfied.

Hayun: I liked all the songs on this album. I was so excited and happy because I couldn’t wait to show PRISM what we had prepared. The challenging part was preparing for three stages at the same time, which sometimes caused my brain to freeze (haha). But I’m really proud of how well I managed to do it.

RUBY

HKP: Since this is your third mini album, how do you feel PRIMROSE has evolved since ‘Red Moon?’ What’s different about ‘Steal Heart’ compared to your past releases?

Rainie: Since each of the four members of PRIMROSE has different charms, I want to show our different sides depending on the concept. Every time we make a comeback, I want to give everyone the feeling that they can fully embrace the concept.

HKP: Each member brings something special to the group. Could you each share one strength you bring to PRIMROSE?

Ruby: I think I’m most attractive when I smile. That’s my strength!

Nahyun: I try to stay calm, and I believe that’s my strength.

Rainie: I think my fresh voice and cool charm are my strong points.

Hayun: I believe my strength lies in my facial expressions and vocals!

HKP: What do you think is PRIMROSE’s distinctive charm as a group?

Hayun: In PRIMROSE, each of us has a unique charm! The more you get to know each member, the more new qualities you’ll discover. We’re all confident in our skills, so please look forward to our upcoming songs and performances!

HKP: Looking to the future, are there any other genres or concepts you’d like to explore? Where do you see PRIMROSE heading next?

Nahyun: I want to show the public that we are a group capable of pulling off even more diverse concepts in the future! Our destination is wherever time takes us. We will keep moving forward without setting a finish line!

HKP: Lastly, please share a message to your fans reading this.

PRIMROSE: Please enjoy our performances. We’ll become stronger and better for the fans. Thank you!
