Legendary K-Pop idol group H.O.T. is reuniting after six years.

According to media outlet SPOTVNEWS, the group will perform at the Hanteo Music Festival at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on September 6-7.
The festival shared their position regarding H.O.T being a part of the lineup.
Korea’s legendary representative artists will be selected as the headliners, and this will be a symbolic project that will make a new mark in K-Pop history.
H.O.T debuted in 1996 and is the first generation idol group that created many historic wins with numerous hit songs including “Candy”, “We are the Future”, and more.
After officially disbanding in 2001, they reunited in 2018 through MBC’s Infinite Challenge, and held solo concerts at the Jamsil Sports Complex and Gocheok Sky Dome in 2018 and 2019.
Since then, they have not had any full group activities. Now, they are coming together for the first time in six years for the festival.
The members have repeatedly expressed their love and determination for complete group activities.
In an interview with Lee Jae Won last year, he stated, “We always think about standing on stage together again, and the possibility of a reunion is always open. All the members think about the fans equally. When the timing is right, there will be a day when we can perform again.”
Also, Jang Woo Hyuk revealed on a variety program, “H.O.T is still talking and I think something good will happen next year.”
Although many were happy to see a reunion, some felt that they were on hiatus due to a particular member’s past scandal.

- “Oh~ H.O.T.!”
- “I wonder if they will have the same aura as they did before, considering they’re old now.”
- “Honestly, the group went on hiatus because of Kangta…”
- “Kangta was just being Kangta…”
- “The Kangta scandal was too much…now his friends Shin Hyesung and Lee Jihoon are all the same to me…”
