The G-DRAGON concert film is finally happening!
CGV has released a blazing red poster featuring GD in his iconic rose jacket from the “Übermensch” world tour.
The caption reads, “88 months in the making—G-DRAGON returns with his world tour after eight years.”
Based on the caption, it appears this won’t be just a concert film; we’ll also see behind-the-scenes footage of his preparations for this highly anticipated comeback. However, there is no confirmation about it yet. Better wait for the trailer. Nothing wrong with getting your hopes up, right?
What’s even more exciting is that audiences won’t just watch—they’ll also feel and even smell the experience. In South Korea, the film will screen in ScreenX, 4DX, and ULTRA 4DX formats, and reservations start on October 15.
CGV ULTRA 4DX is the company’s premium format that combines panoramic multi-screen visuals (via ScreenX) with 4DX environmental effects, alongside a high-end sound system that meets international standards.
Many Korean K-Pop concert films have been presented in these premium formats in South Korea.
On the official website of G-DRAGON concert film, they posted highlight photos and wrote:
“The Legend Returns. The Stage Trembles.
After eight years, the icon of a generation roars back with an epic world tour — ÜBERMENSCH. Every beat, every breath, every moment that will redefine his legacy bursts onto the big screen.
From the anthems that shook the world—‘Crooked,’ ‘POWER,’ ‘HEARTBREAKER’—to an epic setlist spanning his most iconic hits, joined by an all-star guest lineup including TaeYang, DaeSung, CL, and more.
Feel the raw energy, the fire, the unrepeatable magic—captured live and unleashed through SCREENX, 4DX, and ULTRA 4DX.”
G-DRAGON concert film will also be released internationally, with schedules to be posted by the respective cinemas and theaters. The reservation starts on September 24.
G-DRAGON kicked off the “Übermensch” world tour on March 29 at Goyang Stadium and has since visited Tokyo (Japan), Bulacan (Philippines), Osaka (Japan), Macau, Sydney (Australia), Melbourne (Australia), Taipei (Taiwan), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Jakarta (Indonesia), Hong Kong, Newark (USA), Las Vegas (USA), and Los Angeles (USA).
The final scheduled stop is Paris, France, on September 20.
Before the G-DRAGON concert film’s theatrical release, he is slated to headline “MADLY MEDLEY,” a music festival that will be held at PARADISE CITY in Incheon.
He is also expected to appear at the 2025 APEC Summit in Gyeongju, South Korea (October 31–November 1), as an honorary ambassador.
The question now is: will the G-DRAGON concert film arrive before or after a potential Seoul encore? Will there be an encore at all? We’ll see.
