MIA Actor Breaks His Year-Long Silence With An Unexpected Update

The last time that model-turned-actor Sung Joon posted on his Instagram was in December 2024. While he was never the type to post many of his selfies, his fans appreciated the occasional glimpses into his life shared via social media.

…until October 8, 2025 (KST)—for the first time in almost a year.

The surprise post ended up sharing some unfortunate news, though, with the actor writing, “I think my account has been hacked.” He then cautioned his fans, asking, “Please ignore any DMs you may have received.”

With his unexpected resurfacing, fans are hopeful for more frequent updates as he recently confirmed his next project. Cast in a K-Pop–themed film jointly produced by HYBE America and Paramount Pictures, Sung Joon is anticipated to appear alongside Kang So Ra, Yoo Ji Tae, Yoo Ji Young, and Eric Nam. The movie will be filmed entirely in Korea and is slated for theatrical release on February 12, 2027.
