Mijoo explained that it all started with a stylist’s “mistake.”

It was when we were promoting ‘Destiny.’ We were dancing in these chunky high heels. Before going on stage, I noticed that my pair of heels didn’t have proper insoles. So I asked for a different pair, but I was told there was no time, and that I just have to go on stage and deal with it.

Once the performance began, it became obvious what the lack of non-slip insoles meant for Mijoo:

She recalled, “I sprained my ankle from the beginning. I’m in so much pain and I’m tearing up, but I have to finish the performance.” Unfortunately, her heels kept giving her trouble—eventually making Mijoo fall.

Somehow, she still got through the performance. But once Mijoo got to the ER, she was diagnosed with a torn ligament. What was more painful to her, though, was how her management company’s staff reacted to her injury.

Lee Mijoo: And then I went to the ER, and it turned out my ligament was torn, so I had to stop activities. But then someone from my company said to me, ‘Did you get it on camera? Did they see you falling?’

Hyojung: Oh, it wasn’t caught on camera?

Lee Mijoo: No, so the fall wasn’t recorded.

Seulgi: For what, they thought it could be aired as marketing or something?!

Lee Mijoo added that, following the painful experience, she has stuck with sneakers on stasge. After hearing the whole story, KARA‘s Youngji—who guested on the episode alongside OH MY GIRL‘s HyojungRed Velvet‘s Seulgi, and MAMAMOO‘s Moonbyul—blurted out loud what was on every viewer’s mind.

I hope they all go to hell.
