Super Junior are one of the longest-lasting active K-Pop groups, recently celebrating their 20th anniversary with a new album and tour. Rather than being a reunion, Super Junior has continuously performed as a group over the years and through military enlistments.

As idols age, it is not uncommon for them to slowdown or stop their activities as they settle down and have families and Super Junior’s members are in their late 30s and early 40s.

Recently, Heechul seemed to hit on this during an interview, giving an honest answer about the group’s possible activities.

Heechul was recently the guest on ILLIT Minju’s Pink Cabinet YouTube program, where the two hit on a number of topics. The age gap between the pair was apparent, with Heechul having debuted a year after Minju was born.

all the haters freaking out during Heechul's announcement appearing as guest, being so dramatic for no reason but instead, we get cute age gap moment like this 😂

minju: 08 liner, 17 years old

heechul: our team's youngest is kyuhyun, 39 years old, with ryeowook. isn't it cute? my cat was born in 2006, heebum is a sunbae (senior) 😭pic.twitter.com/HoJl4Wrol9

The older idol also answered questions from fans, including one that asked what his motivation was for this comeback, as well as the possibility for comebacks into the far future. The idol responded plainly saying that as long as he and the other members of Super Junior are alive, the group will continue.

He added that he wanted to continue with ELF (Super Junior’s fanbase), saying that participating with the group was his biggest source of dopamine. He even jokingly invited Minju to Super Junior’s 50th anniversary celebration.

It seems like Super Junior will be around for a very long time, with no disbandment in sight!
