ATEEZ's Hongjoong startled fans with a scholastic look at fashion designer John Smith's Fall-Winter 2025/2026 show at Paris Fashion Week.
Sporting slicked-back blonde hair, silver-rimmed glasses, a dark teal suit, a tailored shirt, and a matching tie, the idol cleaned up well for his appearance at the January 22 event.
Fans, however, were quick to point out that his dapper and clean wares reminded them of a well-loved fictional character, an ill-intentioned figure from the wizarding world of Harry Potter.
"Man's the Korean Draco Malfoy," joked one commenter, resharing Hongjoong's fit.
"That's a fckn Draco Malfoy," quipped another, echoing their agreement.
In an interview with The Guardian, Smith revealed that his latest ready-to-wear collection was partially inspired by his lengthy travels and his dad's adoration for photography.
His dad, who had fostered an "amateur photography collection," served as the initial inspiration for the collection, which boasted blocky neon sweaters reminiscent of SMPTE color bars found on a cable channel, chic leather jackets that looked pointedly aged, and sleek, smooth-to-the-touch pants.
Guests were treated to a walk down Smith's memory lane as they walked through a mocked-up dark room in the entrance, embellished with strung-up negatives and a stainless steel sink.
The designer shared photos of guests he'd selected to attend the intimate and personal show, including Hongjoong, in an Instagram post.
"Meet some of the special guests who attended Paul Smith's Autumn / Winter 2025 show," he wrote.
